One Gwynedd shooter phoned me the night before to say he wouldn’t be at the shoot, another just didn’t turn up..

A phone call to the coordinator doesn’t cost much.

I’d love to do the Welsh one’s but because of their location it’s impossible.
The 2 nearest are in Mid Wales the same weekend which would mean staying at a local hotel or traveling 170 miles both days

Now if only I could win the lottery

When I get a chance?? I’d love to shoot the County Finals but as Ive said before someone has to keep you shooters in check!! Roll on the Welsh ones!!

It’s a real pity that anyone would feel intimidated (or embarrassed) enough to give up on what could be a springboard to better things.

To improve you have to shoot with better shots, and you will learn a great deal from them.

Every Welsh shooter I’ve met have been friendly and have been more than willing to help anyone whose struggling.

You are so right. We had a junior come to one of our sporting qualifiers and was intimated by some of the scores from the Seniors, didnt come back to do at least one more. Outcome, Dyfed only have one colt and no junior team. Ive not seen that before! Gwynedd this year have done amazingly well recruiting new shooters and as you say Ken, its a great day out and who knows where it will lead in their shooting.
