Need the help of a kind millionaire!!!

This old man of 51 whose an ok shooter needs to find a kind benefactor to sponsor him ;-)

My lifelong ambition has been to shoot for my country but I’ve never had the funds to do it.

As I get visitors to my blog from all over the World, I’m hoping that someone will take pity on my plight, with a generous donation to help me on my way :-)

  1. I was told (and not that politley) to go and shoot a different DTL layout as this was for the gwent by 2 different people, and the one lad with us was all up for moving to the other layout (sod that! we’re from gwent)
WE were made to feel about as welcome as a flea in a tramps underpants.

  2. AND to answer your question angie, Grant pendleton is the sporting captain for the home internationals this year.

  3. I used to average around 94% up until last year, but have no idea what it would be now as I’ve rarely shot skeet in the last 6 months.

I thought tramps loved fleas in their underpants tk, makes them feel wanted ;-)

  4. yeah go for it tk and show those boys that you are capable of getting in the team!!Did they know you were from Gwent? That to me is like putting a red flag to a bull. Some of the boys down here(before I was National County Co-ordinator)wouldnt tell anyone when the qualifiers were(just keep it amongst themselves!!)and now of course they MUST tell me so everyone gets a chance!

  5. Think we upset them enough fellow sporting shooter john kendall shot 50 148 which was top and i shot 50 146 which was 3rd when i left.
Yes i said we were from gwent and they asked how many of us were internationals, which none of us are ,not in DTL anyway.

  6. No wonder theyre not happy…its coz ur not Internationals in DTL which means you will probably knock them out!!
Ken if ur averaging 94 with obvious room for improvement and free coaching from the top boys, you would def make the team!!

  7. Well done tk, that’s a bloody good score for an experienced DTL shooter, let alone a sporting shooter.

Yes Angie, there’s definitely room for improvement, and free coaching sounds GOOD ;-)

  8. I shall expect to see you at the first qualifier next year and then things can only get better as they say. Well done TK.I had the co-ordinator on the phone to me this morning asking if a welsh shooter could shoot even tho he lived in Bristol..not a problem I said…is he a member….yes of the CPSA!!! der!!No then, not for the county!

  9. I must point out they were not all like that angie oliver and geoff were there and were quite happy to see us swapping disiplines

  10. She would have to be considering shes on the Board!!The offer would apply to you as well tk.Our boys seriously help anyone out, we all work together.

  11. Don,t think she knew anything about it ,it was before she arrived and we didn,t mention it.
I think it,s quite funny really i,ve got a thick skin so no worries!
Anyway thats enough moaning, might try skeet next what chokes and shot size do you skeet shooters favour i shot a skeet type bird at 2000 today in the sporting using skeet choke and 9,s broke them all but vert chippy unless it was down to me.

  12. No more than quarter tk, most use 9′s but I use whatever I have at the time. Last 6 months I’ve been using 71/2s for everything with skeet/ quarter chokes.

  13. I use 9′s and either skeet or 1/4. Dont be one of these that wants to see 25 balls of dust….I’d rather have 25 chips than 24 balls of dust! Its our International this weekend so if you had any ideas of it being a nice sunny w-end…forget it!!Telpyn has its own weather forcat compared to the rest of Wales!

  14. I’ve heard (by a reliable source) that Angie is favourite to be high gun this year :-)

    Go Angie Go ;-)

  15. High Gun?? no pressure then!!I love who ur reliable source is!!:) Scotland next year

  16. The Assoc have decided that in future all team members will be wearing the dress code of the Country holding the Internationals so get your kilt ordered NOW!!

  17. one for the skeet shooters here. bit long winded too.
could you tell me ‘where’, in relation to the centre (hoop position) exactly you shoot each clay on your round of skeet. im talking ‘every’ clay!!! singles and doubles. serious question. ken has my email addy if its a long report.

    thanks.
