Some Good Looking Shooters in The May Edition of Clay Shooting Mag.
Within Wales section has some good looking shooters in this edition.
I bet the West Glamorgan competitors are all thinking it’s them now
I am actually talking about Elena Allen and Cerys Evans…
Whose that old bloke with the two youngsters from Gwynedd..

Haven’t got the mag yet…any good looking male shooters in it??
Angie said “Haven’t got the mag yet…any good looking male shooters in it??”
Only the old bloke from Gwynedd
I’m sure you’ve met him once or twice.
just a quick question how is it the English selection was held at Wylye Valley on saturday 3rd and sunday 4th of April and the results were on the cpsa website on wednesday 7th and there was a Bank holiday in between yet the Welsh selection was held on Monday 5th April and there’s still nothing on WCTSA web or is it down to the ground? I know the grounds have 10 days but it seem’s an age when your waiting for them!
see
I’d say it’s all down to better organization by the CPSA.
WCTSA can be rather slow getting anything on the website.
They did promise a better more dynamic website for Welsh Shooters to make up for the lack of ‘Pull’ magazine.
Dave does a great job, but sometimes you can log in to the WCTSA website for many days and find nothing new added.
As I have found on this blog, Welsh shooters don’t seem to want to contribute any news, must be the same for the WCTSA website.
yes the pull magazine issue!Iknow quite a few people who said they’ll be swapping to the CPSA next renewall because of this.
I’ve taken out a subscription to the Clay Shooting Magazine, and it’s ten times better than Pull ever was.
Did I mention the good looking older bloke from Gwynedd in the Welsh section of May’s issue?
At the end of the day, CPSA workers are paid whereas we aren’t. My attitude has always been if you ca’t fulfil your duties then stand down and let someone else do them! There is a slight delay with the skeet final report at the moment due to Daves work committments but should be live very soon. Hes working on the Clay Shooting mag at the moment as we have to work to a deadline with that. I really don’t understand why anyone would want the Pull mag now that we have the Clay Shooting mag. The Pull mag has nothing of relevance to Welsh shooting and the fixtures in the Pull mag are in both. If you look at the actual content of the Pull mag, theres about 16/17 pages of County news thats nothing to do with Wales whereas we now have a dedicated page in th CS mag
Plus why don’t the reps put the scores on? The skeet rep does but then we have quite a good rep!Plus the scores have to go from the ground to Brian Davies, then onto Dave Lea, so yes it does take time
May’s edition of CS has 3 full pages dedicated to Welsh Shooting, and all good stuff.
Fair enough you need to subscribe to get the best deal at £37 a year delivered to your door.
As to staff getting paid, the CPSA can afford it with around 50,000 members (or that’s what I was told).
Its probably more like 30,000 but still plenty!
30,000 eh, so they have a few hundred more than the WCTSA
yes you are right clay shooting is a far better magazine i’ll cancell my pull next time and subscribe to it.By the way do you get payed for modelling in the clay magazine?
Afraid not TK although I was promised some tea and a sticky bun
Pictures supplied by Geriatric models inc.
Pull’s not bad for the price it was offered but id rather pay the extra for CS.
Has anyone seen the scores on the website for the Easter qualifier at Brondai? What a waste of space!!Its not Dave Lea’s fault, just what he’s been given to work with. There’s no scores. just points. Who’s great idea was that…the Reps??
I did notice how the report had ermmm ‘a lack of vital information’.
I really pity Dave when he receives so little information and he has to make do with what he’s given to try and present a decent report.
No wonder people complain about the website, if they only knew how little info Dave has to work with.
This is my point that if you’re meant to do a job then do it. Dave’s done his job but who sent him the rubbish to put on the web site in the first place?? I’m waiting to see how the letter I sent the Board went down last night. Everyone needs to write into the Board more often to complain about things, maybe then they’ll get the message and wise up a bit!
Yes I have seen your letter.
It’s ridicilous that a PLC can be run by people who have no real interest in the company.
I know it all run by volunteers, but if they don’t want the job give it to someone who does.
How have you seen my letter??
Yes Angie I have seen the letter.
Thanks Huw
On a lighter note the weather for this Sundays County Final at Griffin Lloyd is looking good! For anyone who doesnt know the winning score for Brondai was 77 so count back is off that!
Hi TK, I thought it was promising rain for the afternoon
I really hope your right thought.
That Brondai shoot must have been hard to be won on a 77.
It’s looking good for the weekend.
I hope the Gwynedd team don’t make fools of themselves again this year by getting blind drunk the night before
Apparently Sue was sick all over the hotel bathroom
UUURRRGGGHHH!!! too much info Ken! I shall be breathalyzing all at the shoot!
I think i want to swap teams!BLIND DRUNK THE NIGHT BEFORE,we were aii told to practice dry mounting
someone else was in the bathroom all night recicling his steak and chips,
do you remember who ken,
i had 2 breakfast the following morning, the bloke in the bathroom dident want any.
OK Gwyn I admit it was me.
And you still owe me for my breakfast
Tomorrow night it’s soft drinks only for me and some dry mounting if I can find a nice local bird
As to TK, who were you dry mounting the night before?
You mucky beggar..
oops i forgot to mention the gun in the dry mounting bit.I must admit you GWYNEDD lot have got dirty minds you ought to concentrate more on your shooting.HA HA.
Were only going to have a damn good time tk..
WE probably have more fun on the Saturday night than the shoot itself
And the only competition will be between each other.
So long as I beat that horrible Gwyn who stole my breakfast last year, I’ll be happy enough.
We’ve got squat chance of winning anything else.
HMMM i’m out myself saturday night and it’s a long walk to the top of griffin Lloyd ground bit of luck he’ll use all the lower stands to save us Drunks. My money’s on powy’s this year!
Your right Tony, Powys are the strong favorites, home ground and all that.
Were thinking of ways to nobble them and anyone better than us (including you).
Something in their tea maybe whilst they’re busy practicing their mounting
We might have been in last place at the skeet but were aiming to be one better on Sunday.
I assume your travelling down today and staying near the ground are you? NO need to noble me the HOPS in tonights beer will take care of that.IS there a booking in deadline?
If you had had a full team at the skeet, you wouldnt have been last…you were one man down, weren’t you?
I have been led to believe that JK was planning on tweeking the targets at the last minute, hope so anyway!
Hopefully it will be a bit more than a tweek!I hear GWYNEDD has borrowed a GWENT shooter for tommorow alias ROB KNOWLES; shall have to work on him tonight!
Christ….word gets around quick….I haven’t even told Gwynedd yet!!
Well done Gwynedd sporting boys and girls. You trashed West Glamorgan and you were only 30 clays behind Clwyd!!We’ll have to see what happens next year on a diffrent ground!
So lets be having some feed back back on the proposal to move the County Finals around the country then!!
Yep i’m up for moving them round all those targets at GRIFFIN LlOYD were the same old targets except for one of the stand on 10,and they’d been practicing on them all week.
By the way GUINESS and RED wine is not a good idea the night before a shoot seem’d a good idea at the time though!
I just hope that all the county shooters don’t mind all the travelling around and will still support it…..Guiness and red wine, what a waste of good wine!!
They were in seperate glasses!I can’t see any problem with GWENT shooters travelling round we do a lot of that already!KEN’s very quiet has he made it back home yet?
What a good weekend that turned out to be
We only had 9 shooters (including Rob) in the senior team (so we couldn’t drop a score), along with 3 or 4 total novices, so we were overjoyed at not coming last.
whilst Keith loves them.
I would also like to take this moment to apologize to Keith about my rather ‘fruity’ language at the presentations.
With only one bird between us as we approached that last stand I knew he’d win as it was that horrible high pair of driven birds that were left. I just hate driven
As to the proposal (same one every year) to move the county finals!
1/ Most grounds don’t want the finals as they are to expensive to run.
2/ Southern shooters won’t drive to LLandegla and Northern shooters wont drive to SW 2000.
With fuel at £1.22 a litre and all shooting costs going up we can all see why.
3/ I do agree that Powys shooters will always have an advantage with Mid Wales and Griffin Lloyd being home grounds for 4 of the finals.
Familiarity with the ground and targets mean that it’s likely that Powys will win more than everyone else.
Am I for or against??
Neither, financial difficulties mean that I won’t be shooting for the foreseeable future so it doesn’t affect me.
course it affects you….you’ll be back this time next year. Its hard to keep an old dog down! I think everyone found ur comments highly amusing!
And I must apologise for still not getting the skeet finnal piccies all up on the web site but I got some sizing problems!!
Sad to hear that you have sizing problems
Very easy to re-size photos with one of the free photo suite software. I have photosuite 4 which does the job nicely.
I found Daff calling you National Administrator highly amusing as I always thought you were Counties Co-ordinator.
TK mate, how did you do at Griffin LLoyd?
If you beat me you’ll be banned from this website
I think i’m safe on the web site for a while yet, a 71 was the best i could muster. Those pheasants had me aswell shot 5,even p.HUMPHRIES who shot a magnificent dropped 3 on them.
i think all the gwynedd shooters enjoyd the shoot at griffin lloyd, the same targets as 2 years ago but still a fantastic ground,is’s a shame we havent got a proper ground in gwynedd,
we have some good shooters but we are not abel to compete with other counties because we are not abel to practice these type of target regulary.
as to moving the finals all over wales,
it would be more exiting shooting at different grounds but i think there will be a lower turnout at the finals, not everybody will fancy
traveling home for 4 hours after been shooting all day and having to get up 5 in the morning to get there.
Close there TK, I only beat you by 2 birds
I also shot 5 of the pheasants whilst Keith shot the joint top score of the day, a great 9.
Glad to see you’ve recovered Gwyn, less alcohol next time mate
All those young ladies will miss you I’m sure..
Forgot to mention young Sion Evans who did a fantastic job of winning overall Colt..
Dennis, he’s a credit to you mate..
You’ll be selling your home before long to fund his International Career
